Dear all,
First, Happy Friday! :) We have finished our third week of school, we are all getting to know each other so well and making great friends. Happy birthday to Julia who is turning 7 this weekend! :)
Here is the summary of our day today:
Language Arts: Finished writing our stories in partners. Some of the students shared their stories, about Angry Birds and Angry Pirates, it was great fun. We also continued to practice sentences with this weeks spelling words.
Math: Still working on addition strategies!
Reading: We took our spelling quiz, and wrote sentences. Later we finished reading "The Big Trip". This was our story for this week and we shall read it again the following week.
Science: We filled in sheets on our new investigation and groups began the process of taking care of their plants and observing how they will fare in the coming weeks with different strategies.
Homework: They will be taking home their Journeys Book, please read with them "The Big Trip" page 49-68. We have read this together in class already.
