Welcome back dear parents and students! Hope everyone had a holly and jolly Christmas vacation and New Years celebrations! I wish great blessing on each of your homes and family, and I am really happy to have your children back for a new year of learning and having fun!
So to start of 2nd semester here is what we did today:
- Welcome back assembly
- Language Arts: Copied new spelling words and made sentences with them. The first 8 words are words with the controlled R sound, and the last ones are words pertaining to our science and math lessons:

- Math: Began our new chapter on position words. Understanding left, right, above, inside, under etc. How to use these words to describe the location of an object. This is a pre topic before learning about grids and how we can use them.
- Social Studies: Understanding what are resources. What are natural resources? How do we reuse resources? Which ones are non renewable? What resources can we find in our community? Why is it important to save our resources? Today we discussed water, plants, trees, air and fossil fuels as resources we use.
