Hello all!!

Today G1 has been practicing and making note cards for their Science Fair presentations! We watched a few videos of other first graders in different parts of the world giving their presentations, and took turns asking each other about what our presentations are about and what we have learned.

Phonics: Reviewed exam questions and introduced a new unit about using ing in verbs and used ing new spelling words to make sentences using is and are.

Math: Clocks, clocks, clock! All about reading time. Completed chapter 11 !

We also read  great book about Christopher Columbus's voyage to America and how it all happened! Kids began working on comic strip style story line to retell how America was discovered.

SCIENCE FAIR:
Visitors for the lower elementary grades (includes Grade 1) are invited to come by and see their projects after they have made their presentations to the judges. Time for visiting: 3:15-4:00.

Homework:

Social Studies: Take home Columbus story line and finish the illustrations and read to someone.
Science: WRAP and Up and MUST bring in Science Fair board
