Happy Friday! (Sept. 4th 2015)

Hello parents! We have had a busy day, here is a recap:

Language Arts - Differentiate between telling and question sentences, finish some workbook activities.

At 9 we had our visit from the friendly fire department who taught us about safety procedures we can know and follow during a fire. This included a presentation on CPR and house safety, a questions and answers portion, handling a fire truck water hose, how to escape a smoke filled room and escaping a building with the fireman's help.

Later we had our first Dance class! What a great class, the kids really enjoyed it and it seems we will have a dance surprise to share with you for Christmas, this practice will take place Evey Friday until the Christmas show starts.

Two assessments: Math Chapter 2 and Spelling, grades will be ready next week.

Homework: Students will be taking home reading logs, please read with them at least 20 minutes this weekend, you may read to them but preferably they will be reading to you. It can be their library book or home books, if you need extra books in the week let me know.

Thats a wrap on our first month of school, its been great so far and we are so excited for the coming months! Happy Friday to everyone, enjoy your weekends!
