Hello parents!
What a wonderful Friday filled with lots of cards and gifts from everyone!
Today we really focused in all the classes on the reviews and how to study. I am hoping these first exams will be a positive and rewarding experience for all the students. I would like them to think of exams as a helpful tool to measure learning, and not something to be overly stressed or negative about in 1st grade.
VS.
Today we also had a short chat about being friends and being kind with each other. We are a big family in Grade 1!We also completed our spelling tests, we will slowly be adding more words to the tests every week and adding to the level of difficulty.
There is no homework, however I asked them to take most of their books home to give them time to review with their study guides if necessary. They will be taking home their last study guide, which is Phonics, today.
We have a long weekend ahead of us, I hope you enjoy have fun and stay safe!
Thank you to all students and parents for such wonderful cards and gifts, this is a great Teacher's Day, and I am so proud and blessed to be teaching this lovely group of kids!
