Assembly: Middle school gave us a great presentation on LEADERSHIP and then we watched a short animation on charity. The student council was formally announced.
Reading: We copied and made sentences with our new spelling words. We are focusing on the sound -ai and -ay. This weeks spelling words will be the ones which have the -ay sounds in it. We also reviewed the names of the days and months, as well as highlighted why we write them with capital letters (because it their names). Here is the list of spelling words:

Some students did not have their Reading Logs filled out, I have explained to them how this works and , while they don't have to do it every day, I recommend it be done as often as possible. All you must do is fill in the book name and sign your name as proof that they have read that day. You may read to your child, or they may read to you, or it may be silent reading done independently.
Homework: Finish Math Sheets within their folders and Reading Log.
